If you knew that ethanol was double the cost of gasoline and corroded your fuel lines, would you want it?

I share the same concern as Nobody Special. The amount of productive land for corn, a major staple for so many hundreds of products is being, is being channeled into a fuel source, that has FAR too many questionable results. The cost is greater and from what I've read, new cars sooner than later would require "special" adaptions for the total conversion. Read most articles about the acreage that is being lost, WORLD WIDE every year and it's starting to become unsettling at best. When the population expands at an ever upward spiral and the acreage of tillable and productive land is going down, someone, SOMEWHERE must comprehend where this all leading in even a decade.
