It should be an international venture. I like my country but I'm afraid weve got some poor ideas on how to aproach the stars. Even the international space station is a waste of valuable time. We could have designed a platform that we could experiment from and later use it as a vehicle to the planets. To go to mars means a ship so big and full of redundancy not to mention a small colony of people from all facets of science and engineering, medical and technical expertise. We could have been there in orbit, safely around mars to study the planet from above. Sent missions to the surface and returned them safely. We could have acomplished this in as little as 20 years. An oneill colony would have been a good choice and would have eliminated alot of the physical problems we face.

Why G.F.I.outlet not working after install!!?

Some of my friends told me that you sprint the WHOLE thing and some said you give like 75% until 100m is left then you sprint. Would a computerized quilting machine be able to go over ons and snaps on a quilt?

I've made a quilt top consisting of my son's baby clothes and have left some of the details (ons, snaps) on some of the squares for added "texture," if you will. I'm at my wit's end with trying to machine quilt it myself on my cheap brother sewing machine...I've tried stipple quilting and have followed all of the instructions (lower feed dogs, use darning foot, correct thread, etc) and am having a ton of trouble with my stitches looking even and consistent. I'm sure this just takes a ton of practice and a better machine. So...I'm exploring options to have it professionally machine-quilted and wondering if they'd be able to do it with the ons and snaps that could get in the way? Thanks!

Considering my current progress, how long do you believe it will take me to get good at skateboarding?

I used to skate when I was a kid, so I already knew how to ollie about 1.5 feet high, and how to BS Popshuvit. I learned how to kickflip in a few days, and to heelflip in a few more days. Took me about a week to master both. I learned how to 360 BS Popshuvit in about 5 days and mastered it in another 5 days. I learned how to varial kickflip in about 3 days, and mastered it in about 1.5 weeks. I am struggling on the Varial heelflip at the moment, have been working on it for about a week now, I think it's because I have trouble with my FS Popshuvit. I can also double kickflip but haven't mastered it yet. I have been skateboarding for almost 2 months now.

I have a problem with my dog?

She is a 5 1/2 year old beagle. So my parents aren't quite the doggie lovers. Ever since we've had her, when she's outside, she would scratch scratch scratch, bark bark bark, to be let in. Now she knows just to scratch a little to be let in. The thing is, I have school and work, so she's usually pushed onto my parents who have a hell of a time with her. We have a cat too, so she eats the cat food when she knows shes not supposed to, she eats the cat poop (ew?), and very seldom does she use the bathroom on the carpet, but that's gotta stop too. I feel bad for my parents, because when I'm here, I know how to control her, I just keep her in my room with me, and never let her be by herself in the kitchen. Question about a Ficus tree?

Ficus cuttings root pretty easily. Your cutting may have rot or fungus, which is generally fatal to a new cutting. If you want to start again, I suggest you root them in either sterilized potting soil, perlite, fine gravel, or other well-draining medium. This will make it easier to transplant when rooted and will reduce the chance of rot. Place your "soil" in a small pot with good drainage. Cut a green/new growth stem from the mother plant. It should have 6-8 nodes on it. Nodes are the growing points from which leaves sprout. The stem should be about 1/4" in diameter at the base. Cut the base at an angle and remove all leaves except for those at the tip of the cutting. Plant the cutting in your soil/compound up to the 2nd or 3rd node. Place your plant in a warm area (minimum 70F), in bright light (not full sun). Water thoroughly. Keep moist but not soggy. Transplant once you notice roots growing towards the bottom of the pot. Many ficus have extensive root systems. Keep this in mind when you transplant. Good Luck!

Atkins Diet? Does it Work?

Atkins does kinda work, but it is really unhealthy. You will lose a lot of weight at first but most of it will be water weight. How much you will lose depends how much you weigh and how much you eat when on the diet. When I tried it I was about 20lbs over weight and I lost 10 lbs after 2 weeks and an additional 4 lbs the next 2 weeks. A month is all I could take on the diet though, I felt really weak, dehydrated, and had muscle cramps. And not to go into too much detail bowel movements were really unpleasant.

My resident cat and my new kitten..do they sounds like thy are getting along?

My resident cat is about a year old, we adopted him 9 months ago, he is very loving, can be a punk though =p. We just added a new 10wk old kitten to the family, and Julius (resident) seems to be acting okay..we tryed adopting a older cat a couple months ago and julius would hiss, fluff his tail, growl, he just didnt like the other cat, so the people we got him from took him back...with the kitten julius hasnt dont any of those signs, he lets the kitten play, he licks his head...which i read was a dominace thing, or taking over reasponciblity for the kitten, if the kitten is locked in the room or bathroom julius waits by the door...if he is in his cage at night julius lays right next to it...he will occasinlly bite the kittens neck..but for the most part i think everything is ok..they are seperated during the day..and we do give them each love esp julius..and there own time while we are home..and it seems like julius is going back to his normal habits at night...he is a night owl and loves to keep us awake..so does it sound like everything is working out...im just paranoid i guess lol.

Oh my. I am starting to regret some of the things I did with my daughter when she was first born.... like keeping the house so quiet all the time. Now she wakes up at every noise. Do think that Wrestlemania 21 in a very underated WM (see inside)?

I think it was a good WM but is under rated because it followed WM 20. 20 was the best WM since they hit the 20 year mark it had loads of championships on the line and emotional, amazing matches. WM 21 was good in it's own right with a few great matches but had so much more potential. They could have throw together some more title matches for WM 21 but instead there were only 3, and the Women's Championship match was very dull. But despite it being under rated it will always be remembered as John Cena and Batista's rise to the top and becoming the two best in WWE today. I personally think WM 20 and 22 were better than 21. 21 was lacking in matches.

I adopted a trio of rats, all around a year old. They were fed a seed mixture by their original owner. I wanted something healthier for them so I give them Oxbow's Regal Rat. However, they won't eat it! My blade on my riding lawn mower wont spin?? PLEASE HELP!!?

I have a MTD 12.5 hp riding lawnmower, fairly new. I bought new blades for it but the previous ones were so tightly ceased on that I couldnt get i off. So I decided to just sharpen my old blades that were on it. The blade wouldnt stop moving while I was sharpening it so I stuck a screw driver in this whole in the deck to stop it from spinning. Once I started sharpening it I heard a ping and a spring popped out. I cant figure out where this spring went. Now when I put the deck to go down and start the blades the blades dont work. I think it has to do with the belt tension because the belt is very loose and that is probobly why the blade isnt moving. The only problem is that i dont no where the spring went. Any suggestions????

i have been diagnosed with G.A.D. for several years now and was on medication until recently.. As someone who suffers from depression myself I can tell you that you have a very severe case of it. I did as well and it took 200mgs. of Zoloft to make it bearable. I still get to feeling like I've gone to the end of my rainbow looking for my pot of gold, but ended up following that rainbow to the wrong end. Depression is nothing to be ashamed of. It's a chemical problem and cirstances in your life can aggravate it. If you can afford it I think it would be extremely important to talk to a doctor about this. You deserve a better quality life. My husband and I have been married almost 3 years, the last 7 months we have been separated. We married very young (20) and very fast (5 months of dating). He is a nice man and treats me well. Well I applaud you for wanting to be an active part of your sons life. It really bothers me when people automatically judge the father harshly for not staying with the mother of his children. It's all a part of how our society stereotypes men and women. First of all I think it is terrible for people to "stay together for the kids". Just because two people have a child together does not mean they should run off and get married or even stay together. If they don't really love each other it gives children a terrible view of what a healthy marriage should look like. For instance my husband thought it was completely normal for his parents to sleep in different rooms until he was 13, a couple of years after they got divorced. Though a family is usually the idea it's much better for a child to see their parents happy and apart then together and fighting all the time or constantly cheating on each other. So when people look down on a man for not staying with the mother of his child it really upsets me. If he doesn't want to be with her no matter what the reason it's not going to be a good example for their child. Secondly, I hate when people ume that when a man leaves it is just him running from responsibility and never think about the faults of the mother. I know fathers who do run from their responsibilities by not visiting their child or paying child support but honestly I know more who are very active in their child's life and never miss a payment. Unfortunately our society tends to ume the father has selfish or bad motives when leaving the mother of his child, This is one instance where men definitely get the short end of the stick. I agree that people shouldn't be so quick to judge relationships that they know nothing about. uming that men are bad people or at fault for not staying with the mother of their children when you know nothing of the situation is ist.

Dachshund wheelchair, waste of time for paralyzed dog?

I have a six year old dachshund who recently went paralyzed in his hind legs. After bringing him to a vet, it was confirmed he would never regain movement in his hind legs, and we cannot afford surgery. We were given a little dachshund wheelchair. My question is, is it worth it? Am i prolonging the inevitable? He isn't physically in pain but is obviously very uncomfortable and saddened by his new situation. Well I'm 15, nearly 16. I'm an open gay and there is this guy I am in love with. How to test a small engine ignition condenser?

Is there a way to test an ignition condenser to see if it is working properly? Aside from replacing I mean. The small engine is a 25 year old 2 hp Johnson outboard motor and the spark is strong but interrmittant with a spark tester. And what exactly does a condenser do? Is it like a capacitor?
